Settings and what they do.

Here is a : but comprehensive list of all the settings in TimeSheet and what they do.

The first thing you want to do is log into your account and go to the settings page.
You can find that by clicking your name on the top right hand side of the website (once logged in) and clicking the Settings button.

Important note: 

Update: Make sure to click the update button or it won't update, some of the settings require the employees to sign out and sign back into the application, if your employees aren't getting the update just ask them to log out and back in again.

With that being said.

Inside the settings page is a list of settings categories.

  1. Account Information
    1. Full Name: Here you can update the full name of the employer of the company
    2. Email Address: Here you can update the email address of the company
    3. Phone Number: You guessed it, here you can update the phone number of your company
    4. Company Name: Ding ding ding! We have a winner! This is to change the name of the company :)
    5. Company Logo: Here is where you can insert a company logo to be shown on your application and website, make your TimeSheet account nice an snazzy.
  2. Timesheets
    1. TimeSheet Start Date (Weekly and Fortnightly Views): This is where you can update the view of your weekly and fortnightly TimeSheet, keep in mind if you update this, your employees will need to log out and back in again.
    2. TimeSheet Start Date (Monthyl View): Same as above but you get the point.
    3. Lunch Break By Default: If you turn this on, the employees will automatically have 30 minutes taken off their TimeSheet if they record a TimeSheet longer than 4 hours.
    4. Travel Charge By Default: If this is turned on, your employees will be able to record an hour of travel time when they are driving to site for a client. Please note this only works when recording a TimeSheet for a Client/Project.
    5. Hide Wage: This will hide the wage section when recording a timesheet from employees as well as your self if you're not interested in recording this kind of stuff.
    6. 24 hour: Some companies like to record timesheets in 24 hour clocks instead of 12 hour clocks, so please turn this on when you want to do so.
    7. Project/Client Needed: When this is turned on, when an employee records a TimeSheet in the website they will be asked to add a project and client before completing their timesheet, if they don't have one to add then they can click proceed without one on the create timesheet page.
    8. Notes Needed: When this setting has been turned on, any employee making a timesheet on the website will be required to add a note against each TimeSheet so that you know more about each TimeSheet recorded.
    9. Work Performed: This setting is if you want to record who you worked for. When turned on, it will add another section in the website Create TimeSheet page which is a text section titled Work Performed For. If you work for clients and want to keep a log of who asked for the work done this is vital so that you can keep you logs accurate and up to date.
    10. Reassign Timesheet: This setting allows the employer to reassign timesheets to different clients and projects from the timesheet page or the project page in 
    11. Show Xero: TimeSheet allows intergration with Xero payroll, if you want to learn more follow this link -> Xero Link
    12. Show Location: This will allow you to see the location a timesheet was recorded in the TimeSheet page. If you don't mind seeing it then you can remove it, if you want to see it then keep it turned on. You will still be able to view this in the maps section of the website and app.
    13. Employee Can Create Project: This will allow an employee to create a project, edit it, mark it as important and mark it as finished.
    14. Reporting Columns: Here you can select which columns you'd like included in the CSV download and report. You'll be able to remove and add all the columns you choose.
    15. Display Hours in Hours and Minutes Format: When recording a timesheet we set the default to be how long has been recorded (8.75 hours). If you turn this setting on it will say 8 hours and 45 minutes.
    16. Add an email address that will receive a weekly report every week: As simple as it sounds, add an email here and they will get a report from your account each week of all the timesheets sent.
  3. Tablet View
    1. Recording Type: When a staff member clicks log in and out on the tablet view, it will automatically record the current time if turned on. If turned off, they will be asked to record the time of their start and end. If you want it to run faster then simply turn the automatic feature on.
  4. Vehicles
    1. Show Vehicles Tab: When turned on it will allow you to see the vehicle system where you can track and record your vehicles health and well being, check when vehicles are broken and maintain a record.
  5. Notifications
    1. Table: Here you can set a time for when your notifications are sent out to your employees at the time specified in the table. Please note that the staff will need to have their notifications turned on in the app to do this.
  6. Subscription
    1. The subscription page is where you can update, manage and cancel your subscription. If you're looking to add new staff you need to make sure your subscription has been updated in the subscription to add new staff. This can all be done here :)
