The maps system is one of the most crucial sections of TimeSheet but often under utilized. 
We believe every company should trust their employees and every employee should trust their company but these things take time to build and we want to help this process as best we can.

We do this with Geo-pings. When your staff members signs in or out and clicks confirm a pin is placed where they recorded that TimeSheet. This is great when you want to know where your staff are signing in and out but trust them to know they're working throughout the day.

The ping system is simple, when the staff clicks the confirm button after adding either the start or end time a ping will be saved against google maps as well as the current time for the city they are in.

For example, if I add my start time at the beginning of the day at 7:00am at 1 Queen st, CBD, Auckland but the actualy time is 6:55am. The TimeSheet on the employers side will look something like this:

• Start Time: 7:00am
• Real Start Time: 6:55am
• Location: 1 Queen st, CBD, Auckland

It is important to note that your employees need to allow locations even if it's only for when they're using the app so that we can save the ping address.

We can say with absolute certaintly that we will never use our users information for any nefarious means. We appreciate all the trust that our customers have in us and will never do anything to betray that trust.
